Blog 10: Unfortunately, I did not complete Blog 1, but I can truthfully say that my initial course expectations were exceeded. When we first discussed about the class using WordPress, I felt uneasy about it because it was something I had never used before. Upon playing around with the website, WordPress began to become second nature to me. The class was laid back for the most part, and I feel I achieved what the class had set out to teach. Psychology has always been a topic of interest for me, and Social Psychology just put the icing of the proverbial cake, as I always have wanted to improve things such as social cues and body language. The only thing I would do differently was complete more of the classes’ assignments, as I was attending class everyday but slacking on the assignments.

Blog 9: I learned a few things throughout my time in my Social Psychology class. First and foremost, this class helped me realize the importance of non-verbal behavior within social settings. Doing things like avoiding eye contact, and doing good gestures for other people showed me there is a true world of psychology. For example, in my intro to Psychology class last semester, my professor taught me that avoiding eye contact during a conversation symbols anxiousness and nervousness within the person, whereas the person receiving the blatant social violation subconsciously makes them wonder about the other person.

An example of a woman irritating a man is when the woman is constantly nagging about a bit of everything to the man, or if she does not cook for him after a long day of work.
