I am interest in cybersecurity Technology because in today’s world as we move into the future, everything is connected to the internet allowing more systems to exist and there needs to be a control or (police) to manage and control the security of those systems and educating the public to keep being self-aware of the importance of keeping your information and network secure and not be fall into the hands of cyber criminals and not lose your identity, assets or even being misinform about our own government. 

I have been around computers since I was 14 years old, from disassembling a whole computer and making a mess with hardware and software to learning how to put everything together and understanding operating systems. Around that time, there was not such a thing as “cybersecurity” and I fall for many times in the hands of hackers in my video games just by simple trusting in people and giving my information with no knowing they would use that just to steal from me. I was too young and the only programs available at that time was “anti-viruses” and majors in technology focus in computer science like writing software, graphic designers, etc. The other side at that time was “Hackers” where there was no where you can learn like in a university or classroom. 

The time pass and the world became more aware of the challenges of cybercrime from bullying to extortion and much more. At the present, being in this country and always reading the newspapers about we always being targeting by other countries and not be able to defend properly. It makes me feel frustrating. I want to make a difference and be part of this community and make our systems safer and contribute as part of those efforts to stop criminals from doing harm in this cyberspace.
