Reflection

  • Working through the lab gave me hands-on practice with key concepts like system configuration, troubleshooting, security principles, and networking, and helped me build confidence using the tools and techniques we learned. I did face some challenges especially learning new commands, managing errors, crontab configuration, but pushing through them helped me understand the system on a deeper level. Overall, the experience taught me how important patience, problem-solving, and attention to detail are.
  • After graduation, my main goal is to start building a career in penetration testing, where I can put the skills, I’ve learned to real use. I also plan to go after certifications like Security+, Network+, CEH and stay involved in activities such as clubs, labs, and volunteering to keep growing and getting hands-on experience. Looking back on this course and the program overall, I’ve gained a lot of useful knowledge and a clearer sense of direction. These experiences have helped me understand what I enjoy, what I’m good at, and what I want to focus on as I move into the next stage of my career.
