During this course, I learned a lot about how Linux works and how to use the command line. At the beginning, I was not very comfortable using the terminal, and I made a lot of mistakes when typing commands. Over time, I got better at using commands like cd, ls, and chmod, and I started to understand how the system works. I also learned how to manage users, set file permissions, and work with networking tools. These skills were new to me, but practicing them in each lab helped me improve.
As the semester went on, I became more confident working in the Linux environment. I learned how to fix my mistakes and figure things out when something did not work. I also got better at understanding system processes, storage, and network connections. Each lab built on the one before it, which helped me grow step by step. I feel like I am now more independent and able to complete tasks without needing as much help.
This course is important for my future career in cybersecurity because it gave me hands-on experience with tools and systems that are used in the real world. Learning Linux is very important since many cybersecurity jobs require it. The skills I gained in this class will help me as I study for my AWS and Security+ certifications. Overall, this course helped me build a strong foundation and gave me more confidence in my ability to succeed in the cybersecurity field.
