Because workers can send offensive messages, cyber technology also increases the chances of cyber harassment by fostering a hostile work environment. Employees may view or alter information they cannot see, raising additional concerns about unauthorized access. Lastly, workers may abuse company resources or software for their projects, leaving systems vulnerable to malware. These instances highlight the significance of having robust policies and training to stop cyber-related workplace deviance.
