My name is Roshelle Leaks, and sports have been at the core of my life for as long as I can remember. As a former college athlete, I’ve experienced firsthand the impact of sports on personal growth, discipline, and opportunity. That passion led me to pursue degrees in political science (University of Delaware) and sports management (Old Dominion University), and now, as a master student here at Old Dominion University, I’m deepening my expertise in sport finance, entrepreneurship, marketing, and communications.

My ultimate goal is to become a sports attorney and agent, helping athletes navigate the complexities of contracts, NIL opportunities, and career management. With my background and experiences, I want to advocate for athletes, ensuring they receive fair compensation and opportunities to succeed both on and off the field.

I created this blog for my COMM 462 class as a way to engage with course material in a practical and meaningful way. Throughout the semester, I hope to build on it, using it as a space to apply what I learn, refine my ideas, and develop my voice in the field.
