Hello and welcome to my “About Me” page. My name is Robert and this is my first year at Old Dominion University, but I have a long history of studies at various schools in both Virginia and Texas. I always wanted to attend ODU and I have finally made it, it just took some time.
I have a family of 3 boys with my wife, we live in Texas now but very much miss Virginia. We have a bunch of animals including the following: 3 dogs, 3 cats, 1 bearded dragon, and 15 chickens.
I work in the Information Technology field and have been for over 25 years. I started building personal computers in high school and developed various skills. I took a more focused path on networking and then security as I advanced in my career. Now I work for a local school district as the director of infrastructure and security.
For hobbies I am a runner and have completed 10 marathons, including the Shamrock in Virginia Beach twice. I am a tinkerer with technology and enjoy woodworking projects with (for) my wife. Our upcoming project will be refinishing a dining room table that we acquired.
