My name is Ruslan Rustamov, and I am a freshman at Old Dominion University with an undecided major. I am still exploring different fields of study to find the best which will be interesting for me and will be best for my future career goals. During high school, when I was junior, I took a computer science class, which gave me my first real experience with programming and technology. That class motivated me to pursue cybersecurity in college because I realized how important it is to protect information in today’s digital world. Also, this class show me that it’s not easy to work with computer science. Outside of school, I like to explore different interests that give me some break and help me relax, maybe these hobbies help me stay creative too. I am especially interested in cars and music production, and I enjoy finding ways to connect creativity with technology. Through my time at ODU, I hope to develop strong technical skills, grow as a student, learn more about different majors, and find the right direction for my future.
