I am interested In Cyber Security Technologies because it is a field that is constantly changing and I think that as the years progress there will be more of a need for people who are skilled in this line of work since society is becoming technology driven. I also like the idea of constantly learning and no matter how advanced you become in Cyber Security Technologies, there will always be something new to learn. Along with that learning experience that you gain from working in Cyber Security Technologies comes opportunities to move up the ladder and work your way up in whatever company you decide to work for because this field comes with unlimited opportunities. There is such a wide variety of jobs available in Cyber Security all across the United States that most of the time, as long as you have some experience, you will never have a hard time finding a job because it’s such a high demand for people in this field. Although I don’t have the technical experience in this field I think that I already possess some of the personal skills needed in order to begin a career in tech. I’m self motivated, enjoy being challenged, trainable, and I like to work in a team environment. Ultimately, I believe that Cyber security Technologies is a very exciting and rewarding career field and within this field there is multiple different avenues you can go down and succeed in. My major is not specifically Cyber Security, it is Cyber Crime. The difference between the two is that normally in Cyber Security you’re protecting major corporations against threats and securing company data from malicious attacks. However, Cyber Crime focuses mainly on an individual who may be a victim of things like Romance Scams, Child Porn, or even Cyber bullying. so my ultimate goal is to protect groups and individuals from fraudsters so that they can freely navigate online.
