Competitive inhibitors interfere with the active site of an enzyme so substrate cannot bind together. They resemble the substrate and bind to the active site of an enzyme. They compete for occupation of the active site if there are greater substrates then it is less likely competitive inhibitors will occupy the site and if there are less substrates it is more likely inhibitors will occupy the site. The reason I chose this meme was because it reminded me of what I have was taught in my anatomy class how competitive inhibitor is like a game of musical chairs competition on who will get to the chair first. I think it is funny because the substrate is mad because that is its intoned active site but instead the competitive inhibitor got to it first making the substrate have to find a new active site. Basically saying “you snooze, you lose”.
