TalkAbroad Impression #2
My second TalkAbroad experience was also with Sophie Ledemé, the same partner I had the first time. I don’t think she remembered me from our last session, but this time the conversation went a lot better. From the beginning, we got right into talking, and I was able to understand her much more than before. She was also more patient this time and repeated things when I didn’t understand, which really helped me feel less stressed.
One of the biggest improvements I made from my first TalkAbroad was my preparation. Like before, I wrote out my answers, but this time I actually practiced them ahead of time so I wouldn’t struggle as much when speaking. Because of that, I felt more confident and didn’t get as stuck as I did during my first session. I was also able to follow the conversation better and respond more naturally instead of just reading or trying to remember what I wrote.
During our conversation, she seemed really interested when I talked about my trip to Paris and how I want to go back again by myself in the future. That made the conversation feel more real and less awkward compared to the first time. I felt more comfortable sharing and actually having a conversation instead of just answering questions.
Even though this experience was better, I still know there are areas I need to improve. I still sometimes struggle with understanding everything, especially when the conversation moves quickly. I also want to keep working on my pronunciation so I can speak more clearly and confidently.
