About Me

My name is Savanna Bivins and I am a freshman at Old Dominion University. My intended major is Marine biology, chosen for my love of the ocean and everything in it. With this degree I intend to do some field research in the Florida Keys, intern at the aquarium in Manteo, North Carolina in their sea turtle rehab center, and teach environmental science at a middle or high school level.

Outside of my obligations to my major, I am a member of the Theta Eta chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma, or Tri Sigma, at Old Dominion University. Being in a social sorority has helped me find some great friends at the university, and has helped me become more involved on campus in general, not just with greek life.

I am also employed by the University. I am a front desk assistant for the ePortfolio Studio located in the Perry Library at Old Dominion University’s main campus. As a front desk assistant, I make appointments for people to meet with our eP assistants. I also answer any questions that they might have, and if I can’t be of service, I point them in the direction of an available assistant.
