Assignment Takeaway 4

1. I decided to pay for the persons food behind me in the McDonald’s drive thru line. I do this every few times that I go because it always makes someone’s day a little bit better. The most amount of money I’ve spent in a single trip of anonymously paying is about $40. Usually I drive off in these situations but ever so often will I get someone that either honks at me or waves outside of their driver’s side window. It always makes my day brighter that I was able to provide a good meal for someone else.
2. I bought some snacks from my friend’s fundraiser so that she will be able to attend her senior trip. I had did this for my sister in the beginning of the semester, so since she also needed some donations I decided to do the same thing for her. She really appreciated it because I am someone she looks up to and I want her to be able to learn from me in positive ways. Whenever someone I know needs or wants something I try my best to give it to them without any complaints.
3. There is usually someone homeless on the side of the street and ever so often I give them something to eat and drink. This time around it happened when I was on my spring break. I saw two people who needed help so I decided to buy them whatever they wanted from the local places around. These two in particular were very kind and kept telling me I did not have to do anything for them because I am young and should save my money. It actually had me teary eyed because I would rather help them then to save for a future that is not yet here. They were so gracious and I’m hoping they find solitude in life and everything that they do.
4. This one isn’t as broad as the others but I went grocery shopping for my mother. She did not have much time to go grocery shopping since she had a lot on her plate so I decided to do it for her. I asked her if she had a list and she gave me one that she had typed on her phone. One thing about me is that I actually enjoy grocery shopping because I get to have a moment of peace and think of new recipes to make. After getting the groceries I put them away in the kitchen and my mom hugged and thanked me. It’s very rare that my mother gives hugs because in her words “she doesn’t like them and they make her too hot” so it made me smile.
5. I paid for the person’s food  behind me at Panera Bread. This was actually the first time that I’ve done this at a place other than McDonalds so I was a little afraid about the person’s and employees response. But just like at McDonald’s the employees allowed it and the people who I paid for really appreciated it. This is something I plan to do for the rest of my life and I hope to pass on from generation to generation. It always puts a smile on my and someone else’s face.

Assignment Takeaway 2

Whenever I ask someone “can you think of words that describe me” they always seem to say I’m shy, sweet, and loving. Although all of those things are true they come off as generic and vague. With me having to do a self evaluation of myself it is hard to not always see yourself as the best person in the world but in reality everyone has their flaws. One thing about me is that I can never let go of a good picture and I tend to take a picture of every experience in my life. This may be an important event or maybe even just a picture of the food that I enjoyed on a certain day.

A few words I would use to describe myself would be creative, adventurous, family oriented, studious, goofy, and a bookworm. I love to do my nails and create miniature sculptures out of scraps for my enjoyment. I love to travel to different places with my favorite so far being The Bahamas. My family is a huge part of my life and I would take a bullet for every single one of them on any given day. I enjoy learning and cannot wait to graduate college to pursue a career in the criminal field of psychology. There isn’t a day where I am not joking and making others laugh in order to keep them and myself happy. Finally, I adore reading and in 2021 I believe I purchased about 35 books from Barnes and Noble and even decided to get a membership. This is me and I love everything about myself.
