Exploring Culture
The way we explored culture through Spanish 312 is mainly through a website called VHL Central. We used this to complete homework assignments and often had cultural readings that coincided with the homework questions. These assignments also crafted critical thinking skills as we had to truly find an understanding of what we were reading.
Presentational Writing
This is a writing-intensive foreign language course, therefore, we did a huge portion of writing different blogs, speeches, reputable articles, and narrations. During this portion, at the beginning of the semester I struggled making solid long sentences and now towards the end I’m doing much better. My favorite assignment was my blog post about assisted suicide. It was fun designing the blog post and being able to express my take on such a hot button issue.
