About Me

I was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. In June 2012 I graduated from Norview High School with honors. Throughout my junior and senior years, I attended Norfolk Technical Center where I earned a certificate in Graphic Imaging. In the Fall of 2013, I attended Tidewater Community College and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Administration Support Technology. In May 2016, through the Workforce Recruitment Program, I received an internship at the Navy Reserves Forces Command as an Administrative Support Clerk. There I performed clerical tasks while accomplishing recurring routine assignments directly related to the management of the assigned division.

In September 2019 I obtained my current employment at the U.S. Coast Guard Community Services Command. I started out as a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. Then in October 2021, I obtained my current position as a Civilian HR Recruitment Assistant. I am currently majoring in Occupational/Tech Studies with a concentration in Training and Development. I found the Occupational/Tech Studies Degree appealing because the core courses will assist me with the skills and knowledge to reason, communicate, and analyze complex problems which are crucial to employers. After I reach my goal of obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree at ODU as a Training Specialist my objective is to sustain employment in my desired occupation and to gain valuable experience.
