Medical Laboratory Science
I chose Medical Laboratory Science as my major because I’m passionate about the hands-on aspect of medicine. Though lab scientists aren’t front and center like doctors are, they play an important role in determining a patient’s diagnosis.
My experience in this field is limited to high school classes. In my Pathophysiology II class, I analyzed blood samples under a microscope and identified the hematological disease, as well as performed dipstick tests in simulated urine.
