I am a CAD Technician pursuing my Mechanical Engineering degree from Old Dominion University.  I am based out of Salem, Va and work in Blacksburg, Va.  My goal in attending ODU is to open up more opportunities in my career by furthering my knowledge base and capabilities. 

By taking Fluid Mechanics, I am gaining knowledge that I can use for future projects.  Through the semester long group project, I am learning to work as a part of a team and getting a preview of what it is like to work towards a customer request.  Working as project manager for the project is allowing me to work on my organizational skills that will prove useful when I am assigned projects to lead in the future.  

Some topics in Fluid mechanics that I find will be useful in my career involve the design of coolant a piping system throughout a factory setting.
