My name is Courtni, and my goal is to graduate college with a bachelor’s degree in biology secondary education. With this degree, I hope to teach high school science. This is my first semester at ODU, for I recently moved here from SC.

I wanted to take a Spanish class because I wanted to be more helpful in everyday activities. When I am at my job, I come across some customers who have a harder time talking to me in their second language. This made me want to help by expanding my knowledge of the culture and language. Since starting the class, I am able to understand more easily the everyday dialogue. With more practice and confidence, I am sure to be able to use the language and engage better with my customers and with my future students or their parents.
