Meme Me Up Scotty: Memes About Kent Bazemore

LA Lakers guard player #9, Kenneth “Kent” Bazemore Jr.

Kenneth “Kent” Bazemore Jr. hasn’t seen much playing time since signing a one-year contract with the LA Lakers. He is known for…”shipped around” the NBA for most of his career according to, https://clutchpoints.com/lakers-kent-bazemore-trade-destinations. Now, he may be traded to another team, possibly going back to the Atlanta Hawks or go the Knicks.

Over the past ten years, Bazemore has played for the following 6 teams:

  1. Golden State Warriors (2012–2014)
  2. Los Angeles Lakers (2014)
  3. Atlanta Hawks (2014–2019)
  4. Portland Trail Blazers (2019–2020)
  5. Sacramento Kings (2020)
  6. Return to Golden State (2020–2021)
  7. Second stint with Lakers (2021–present)

I created this meme to reflect his frustration with being traded again. I can’t image how he feels about what it’s like being traded a lot, but I think this image captures the feeling perfectly.

On the other hand, I found this disappointing meme with stats describing what he does on the bench of the LA Lakers, since he doesn’t get much playing time. I think this meme does a great job of capturing the low points of Bazemore’s time as a Laker (pun intended). I quickly picked up on the sarcasm, yet truthful nature of the meme.

In closing, before this assignment I didn’t know much about Bazemore. The first time I heard about him was when I tasked with creating the 2021 ODU Athletic Hall of Fame program in which he was an inductee. As I was researching memes about Bazemore, his passion for the game was seen in his longevity in the NBA.
