Textual Practice Session: Lori (Arduino) Link to slides: hartness-arduino-maker-space
Lori writes, “Arduino appeared in 2005 out of the combination of computing and maker spaces and exists as a textual practice on at least two distinct levels. First, the creations which emanate from the use of Arduino exist as a material text in much the same way that we recognize the material textuality of needlework, weaving, and crafts. Second, the computer code on which the Arduino depends to initiate its programs in support of the maker’s creations exists as another element of textuality.”
