Research skills are very important for cybersecurity because in the cybersecurity field, it is important to be able to understand and research cyber threats and vulnerabilities as well as being able to investigate attacks. The three artifacts provided on this page will show you that I know how to research and am able to put it together into a presentation which proves that I’m able to understand what I am researching. The first artifact is a presentation on the 2016 Dyn DDoS attack which my group members and I researched very well and put together an incredible presentation that we got amazing feedback on. The second artifact is the Physical Layer of the OSI Model presentation which again was a group research assignment, but once again shows how well we researched and put a presentation together proving that we understood what we were talking about from our research. This was another presentation that I got very good feedback from. The third artifact is the IDS 300W Interdisciplinary Term Paper which is probably the ultimate research assignment anyone has ever done because it required so much research in various disciplines and it was required to put them all together and I had to prove that I understood each discipline and what I was talking about and I did well on that.
