Well, first it would be right to state each level before stating how it relates to ones experience with technology. So, what are the very levels of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs? Well, they are simply, physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization. I will begin with physiological needs. They are what is known to man as essentials being air, water, food, and shelter. In the world of technology, answering the question I might add, obtaining the access to reliable and and high-speed internet becomes crucial or an “essential”. Next, safety needs. These involve what is known to man as physical and emotional security. In the mattes of technology, safety needs plays this role as proving a sense of safety through the matters of home security systems, password protections, antivirus software’s, etc. One can consider online banking and secure payment methods as well. Next, social needs. Simply, in terms of technology these can include messaging apps, social media platforms, video calls, virtual meetings, and more and more, etc. Continuing, esteem needs. In simple words, social media contributes to one self promoting and self expressing their own self esteem with the withering wants of positive feedback, followers, likes, and more on their own platforms. Lastly, self-actualization. In easy words correlating towards the technology side relating to self-actualization, there are online education platforms, creative digital tools, and skill development websites.
