CYSE 200T

1. The document describes that AI tools will be necessary skill for all professionals in the future. In the document it compares a professional with AI tools to a mechanic with a wrench, stating the significance of AI tools are for the future. I definitely agree with the comparison, as in the future, it’ll be a standard, like how when many paper documents turned digital for efficiency and privacy. Professionals need to understand how AI works, it’s limitations, and how to use it responsibly, being compliant and not using it in a negative way.

2. Since AI is an algorithm, it takes in any information it is given to it, and uses it, whether the information may be right or wrong. This means that a modern organization has to ensure any data sent to AI has to be accurate, secure, and compliant. Roles in areas like data governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, must ensure AI is operating within it’s bounds, and not potentially negatively affecting the organization.

3. In my opinion, I think it does change where it fits in a structure of a modern organization. IT would no longer be a support department, but rather a central place to the organization. The reason for this is it would allow IT teams to guide decisions based off of AI analytics, manage data infrastructure, as well as ensure compliance standards and security needs at met. This integration would greatly improve the importance of IT in a modern organization, essential to developing new systems and structures, which would make it a more central part.
