Growing Up

At a young age, most children can’t wait to become grown-ups. As for me, it was a completely different story, I never once wished to grow up. I knew that growing up didn’t mean that people had to power to do what they want, instead, it meant life with responsibilities. On top of that, I knew having to pay bills wasn’t something adults looked forward to since my parents always complained about the lights being on in the middle of the day. As a child growing up was never on my to-do list. Even today I think back to the times I would tell my parents how I never wanted to grow up. Thanks to my childhood I learned that becoming an adult was nothing to be proud of.
