In my personal experience, Cybersecurity and Privacy Best Practices aren’t just technical issues because while the may revolve around the code and infrastructure of the company, they play a very large role in the real life information of the employee’s and customers of that company which can tend to cause issues if the privacy data is leaked. I have seen friends, as well as myself, have their private information compromised due to a companies data leak or selling of the listed private information. Problems like these can cause a detrimental amount of neglect to a person’s social and financial livelihood.
