1. Money has to be the motive that makes the most sense to me because money can motivate anyone to do anything as long as it’s the right price.

2. Revenge is similar to money where having anger and hatred towards someone is a powerful motivator that can make the most incident person in the world do something they never would have done before in their life

3. Political motivation in my opinion is targeted toward a select few people that will do anything to gain political power over their rivals such as Russia and China doing cyber attacks on the US

4. Multiple reasons. I feel like this could be higher on the list because it basically combines multiple different reasons into one big motivator but I didn’t put it higher because I feel like the other motivators that are placed higher motivate people way more

5. Recognition is a decent motivator but it’s not quite the best one. Being motivated by recognition is for those people who really didn’t have a name or anything in their regular life so now decide to make an online name by showing off their hacking skills.

6.Entertainment and boredom are kind of hand and hand where it’s like come on you can do something other than hacking to get yourself some entertainment.

7. Boredom comes in last because I don’t see how just because you are bored you decide to bully people online and sexually groom them.
