What opportunities have I missed?
During my senior year in high school, I missed my opportunity to the Virginia 6A State Conference. I received poor results because of poor planning and execution in training. I was too rigid with my training and believed that the same level of practice I had always done would allow me to win. Being the furthest thing from the truth, I wrestled the state champion and lost by one point. Looking back, if I made the plan to train harder and executed that plan every day before states, I’m confident would change such a close outcome. These lessons taught me something important though, capitalize on a opportunity when it’s their not when its gone by.
