How can you spot fake websites? Compare three fake websites (don’t
access those sites, of course) to three real websites. What makes the
fake websites fake?

Ways to spot “fake” websites – misspelled URLS, lack of HTTPS, uncommon extensions such as .biz or .info, typos on the webpage and a general poor quality look.

3 fake websites – I cannot navigate to the sites to see and compare but misspell any common popular site and you will see a “fake” site. This is called “Typo squatting”. Making your domain name the misspelled version of amazon.com. google.com. youtube.com, wellsfargo.com. etc… These websites are often malicious and will try to drop malware onto your system or steal your logins if they cloned the website well enough. Most browsers will warn you though that you misspelled.
