Discussion #1: Discuss how you might use your portfolio, personally and professionally, once it’s completed. Then describe the artifacts you are considering including in your portfolio
I was first introduced to e-portfolios as a first year student at ODU, We had programmed our own “CYSE” website to display our discussions, assignments, and essays throughout the semester. But I didn’t realize how useful this tool could be if you apply and set it up for your future employers to take a look. After reviewing the powerpoint, I would choose to do a “showcase” portfolio over a learning/assessment one so I can showcase my academic career along with my side work. Also, It is mentioned in the reading that those who have an ePortfolio are ahead of the curve because it allows employers to see what you are working on along with skills and qualifications for said position. To showcase my portfolio personally, I will list my artwork, proficiency in photoshop, events I’ve catered to musically, and clothing pieces I’ve made for various companies.
Discussion #2: What soft/hard skills are required for these roles and how are you currently prepared to meet these requirements?

Discussion #3: Which platform are you selecting for your ePortfolio and why?
I believe I will choose WordPress for my e-portfolio. WordPress is a popular choice for ePortfolios due to its versatility, ease of use, and vast customization options. It provides a diverse set of themes and plugins for exhibiting various types of material, including projects, resumes, and multimedia presentations. Furthermore, WordPress gives users complete control over their portfolios, including the option to self-host for greater freedom and branding opportunities.
