Work Experience
McDonalds (Hampton, VA)
Crew Member June-September 2023
As a crew member, I had done a bit of everything except for the line cook role. I worked at the window, made beverages, cleaned the area and took orders myself and at the cashier. This strengthened my communication skills and multitasking. Overall, I adapted to rapid-task switching and customer-facing roles while being a team player.
Construction Assistant (Hampton, VA) June-August 2025
When I was a construction assistant, I had hands-on experience in assisting with residential construction projects including decks, sheds, tile work and interior renovations. This developed my hands-on skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. The experience led me to work collaboratively with a small business to complete projects on time.
Education
Richard Bland College Petersburg, VA
Associates Degree of Science 2022-2024
GPA: 3.15
Old Dominion University Norfolk, VA
Cybersecurity B.S 2025-2027
GPA: 3.28
A requirement class I took for my associates degree was computer science, where I learned the core functions and principles of how computers operate. I am currently a student at ODU, and I have completed two cybersecurity courses so far, CYSE 200T and CYSE 201S. The CYSE 200T course was like an overview of cybersecurity and all of its many areas in legal, ethical and political domains. CYSE 201S goes into the psychology and sociological aspects of cybersecurity and how cybersecurity is not only technical. These courses have given me a solid foundational understanding of cyber-security and its applications. Additionally, I have built portfolios for these courses on WordPress. My social science course shows the bulk of my personal work, such as my career paper being a potential Human Risk analyst as well as two article reviews about different topics in cybersecurity.
My Portfolios
All of what I have learned in this portfolio is under the CYSE 210S tab.
Everything that I have learned is in this blog tab for CYSE 200T course.
