Cyber technology has opened a new set of doors from which to commit workplace deviance. In a similar manner, it may open the door of the company to unauthorized access in the context of company information. An employee can abuse his or her access and steal company data, such as customer information or trade secrets, for self-benefit or to cause harm to the company.Another way is to have more freedom to harass coworkers. Being that these jobs are usually done through the web and not face to face, their are communication tools that they could use to bully or harass coworkers. This could be bad for the company because it could cause the environment to be more on the negative spectrum.

Additionally, cyber technology allows their employees to steal time from the company. Being that they are most likely on the computer, employees tend to become bored. So, with the company time, people often scroll on social media or do some personal shopping when they are supposed to be working. Workers could also commit fraud by using cyber technology.
