CYSE 100 Cyber Explorers and University Orientation, usually just shortened to CYSE 100, is an introduction to the World of Cybersecurity and ODU. Students in CYSE 100 will gain a deeper understanding of cybersecurity through career exploration, peer mentorship, service learning, and interactive experiences.

Cybersecurity Career Connections
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is what stood out to me the most. It was also the first table I approached. I asked them a series of questions, one of which was, “ Do you all offer internships?” The answer to that question was yes. I was also informed that the internship is a paid three-month-long course that can be completed in any one of the multitudes of offices around the country. I was also informed about a few possible job positions I could take up once the internship was complete under the title, Electronic Technician. One of the specific jobs I could train for was the Digital Operational specialist. My assigned task would be to install and maintain mobile radio systems, data network systems, and provide tactical support for FBI offices and facilities. What attracted me to this position the most was its many benefits, like, health programs, insurance programs, student loan repayment programs, and federal holidays off.
