“Shortcuts get you there. Preparation keeps you there.”
If you’ve ever wondered who is behind the person working with technology, troubleshooting problems, or trying to figure out why something suddenly stopped working, that’s where I come in. My name is Lanwood Lynch III, and I’m currently a junior at Old Dominion University majoring in Cybersecurity. I’ve always been interested in technology, but after spending the past three years working in the tech industry, I’ve become even more interested in the many different paths and opportunities that technology can offer.
My goal is to finish my undergraduate degree at ODU and continue on to earn my master’s degree. I’m excited to use my education and professional experience to explore different areas of the technology field, especially as I continue building my career in cybersecurity. For me, learning about technology isn’t just about understanding computers—it’s about figuring out how things work, solving problems, and finding new ways to improve them.
When I’m not studying or working with technology, you’ll probably find me keeping up with sports or exploring my interest in fashion. I’ve always enjoyed the creativity and individuality that come with fashion, while sports give me a completely different way to stay entertained and competitive. Both are a big part of who I am outside of technology and help keep life interesting.
