My name is Phinaja Washington, I’m From Richmond, Virginia and graduated high school with my CMA certification (Certified Medical Assistant). I am a first generation college student at Old Dominion University. My Intended major is Nursing and I would like to minor in Women & Gender Studies here at ODU. After college I plan to use my degree to become a Midwife or Travel Nurse. I chose ODU because adore the campus and nursing program. The nursing program here is not only very competitive but accredited.

From the beginning I knew I wanted to be a nurse, I was raised by strong independent nurses. A few skills I posses for my intended major are, CPR, Vital signs, Emergency critical care, and I have knowledge of OSHA and HIPPA regulations.
