My Major

Nursing

Being a nursing major, especially during the prerequisite years and first year of college. The prerequisite courses are needed to set a solid understanding of basic sciences and mathematics. For me, the demanding schoolwork can be emotionally and mentally stressful, and the adjustment to college life may be difficult. To make matters worse, the struggle is further complicated by the pressure to perform well in prerequisite courses in order to get admitted to the exclusive nursing school. The problems increase when one has to balance a demanding academic workload with volunteer and many other responsibilities. As students navigate new connections and look for support networks, the process of transitioning into the nursing community can be challenging in and of itself. Productive time management.
