About Me

My name is Jordan Washington and I’m a freshman student at Old Dominion University. I was born and raised in Virginia and live with my mother, little sister, grandmother who stays with us during the school year. I’m a polite and introverted person who usually prefers to stay by themselves and stay out of the spotlight. Some of my favorite activities are playing video games like Roblox and Minecraft, watching YouTube videos, and reading books series like Warrior Cats and Eragon. I have prioritized keeping a good academic record and was a member of the Honors Society back in high school and are currently a member of the Perry’s Honor College at ODU. The main reason I chose to go to ODU was because it held a good engineering program that I was interested in and the tuition wasn’t that high compared to out-of-state college. The reason I chose to major in engineering, specifically Civil Engineering, was because I was introduced to AutoCAD in a “Intro into Engineering” class back in high school and fell in love with using the software. From then on I wanted to pursue a career that utilized it and learned that civil engineering use it frequently for mapping out building plans and decided that was going to be my future job.
