In 2020, the pandemic hit the country and ultimately shut everything down, including my job as a bus driver with Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Thanks to my promise to my children about attending college one day, I enrolled at Tidewater Community College. In May 2023, I graduated from TCC with my Associate of Applied Science with a major in Cyber Security. I plan to obtain my Bachelor’s and continue my career working with school-age children by helping with their computer needs and teaching them how to be safe on the internet. I am an undergraduate transfer student with one semester left until I graduate with my bachelor’s degree.
