My name is George “Bryant” Teagle. I am currently a senior in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program here at Old Dominion University. I am 49 years old and probably not what comes to mind as your typical engineering student. I have taken the long road to get to where I am today. I have over 20 years of manufacturing experience, mostly in maintenance and currently work as an Engineering Analyst at Continental Automotive in Newport News, VA. I am a 1994, academic honors graduate of The Apprentice School at Newport News Shipbuilding. In 2016, I graduated from Thomas Nelson Community College with an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. I am also currently completing my Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. I plan to continue my education with a Masters Degree in Engineering Management, also from Old Dominion University beginning in Fall 2020 and acquire a Project Management certification, PMP during the summer of 2020.
