Experience

My first language is Spanish; my parents taught me how to speak it. However, I learned how to write in Spanish when I was 16 or 17 when I would practice at home. Nowadays, there are a handful of students who only speak Spanish. These students can feel welcome if another student can build a bridge and communicate with them. I took Spanish 1 in High School and noticed that I struggled a lot with the grammar/ writing portion. I wanted to be a teacher, so I decided to Major in Spanish to become one. I started my journey at Tidewater Community College and then went to Old Dominion University. When I graduate, I will become a teacher; this is where my topic comes into play..
