All of the steps in this course, from our brainstorming, prospectus, rough draft, and especially video, were beneficial. The prospectus was one of our first assignments, and it helped by allowing us to unravel our thoughts and structure it from the start. As our professor stated, sometimes you do not catch things when you’re writing, but when you start talking, your thoughts flow better. It’s like the book vs the movie. Many students should take a course like this because it helps them realize that writing is not as simple as it is, and you have to treat each step as if it’s just as important as the next. Being able to show each step to our peers and professor helped because we were all on the same page. If they had an idea, they would share it, and you could expand your research.
