Throughout this course it has made me significantly more confident in speaking Spanish. I’m able to hold longer conversations with my family and friends. As I’ve gotten older I started to connect more to my hispanic culture by listening to Corridos Tumbados and have been able to understand the songs fully. My favorite artists are Peso Pluma, Tito Double P, and Fuerza Regida. Professor Roy has been such a great teacher and helped me understand conjugation and grammar as those are the two things I struggled with most. For example, conjugation of ir verbs or remembering how to conjugate certain verbs like ser. In my future, I see myself using Spanish to help those who struggle to understand English. As we know the United States is very diverse and individuals come here to better themselves from other countries. With that being able to speak Spanish I can help those feel more comfortable in knowing I can still be helpful to their lives.
