The way I consume sports media is mainly through social media and sometimes talkshows they have on tv mainly on Espn. Espn is the main media outlet where I consume my sports media through their app and tv channel. I feel like I’ve always allowed espn to be my outlet for sports media mainly because they have such a wide range throughout all sports. The main way I consume it is mainly through social media just like almost everyone else in the year of 2026. Through alerts about my favorite teams and alerts about my favorite sports. I think the way my sports media diet has changed over time is really just because of the way I’ve grown up and how big social media has become in the last 5 years so not that it wasn’t already huge 5 years ago and how people communicate sports through the social media tool. I think in the next five years social media will continue to grow and that is how we will communicate through almost anything, especially across the world or the country. My sports diet has grown in ways I couldn’t even imagine from when I started watching sports. If I could change one thing about the sport communication world it would be how many untrue rumors are unnecessarily spread and how fast people are to jump to conclusions. In the sports communication world it’s a lot of people conveying information at once and once something is out there it’s hard to retract it and get people to forget about it. So when an untrue rumor about a sports personality is put in the public rather through the grapevine or social media people believe it right away and start attacking the individual and their character. If I could change one thing about sports communication it would be that.
