Hello everyone, my name is Arvin Thornton and I’m currently a junior majoring in Cybersecurity. Outside of school, I’m really into gaming and making music. I find both to be great ways for me to unwind and express creativity. I also like watching lots of different forms of entertainment, like movies, sports, and anime. My favorite movie is Interstellar, sports team is sadly the Dallas Cowboys, and anime is One Piece. I’ve taken online coding classes before during my first few years of college. This is my first year with ODU Global taking entirely online classes. I’m still familiar with the online learning environment and how to stay engaged with it. I haven’t had an internship yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to it. I want to gain some hands-on experience in the cybersecurity field soon. I do have a starter ePortfolio, and I’m building it using WordPress. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m excited to keep adding to it as I complete more projects and build my skills. As for my goals after graduation, I hope to land a job in the cybersecurity industry, where I can continue learning, grow professionally, and eventually specialize in areas like ethical hacking or network defense.
