After graduating college, I want to begin my cybersecurity career so that I can protect systems and data. To accomplish this goal, I will need to develop a strategy using both my technical skills and analytical skills. I would like to work as a Security Analyst or Systems Security Administrator. By working in one of these positions, I will be able to monitor networks, find weak points in the system, and respond to threats.
As a result of my class, I have developed a passion for system security, access control, and network defense, particularly on Linux operating systems. I enjoy working on hands-on real-world problems and learning about how systems can be secured against actual hackers through practical application.
In the long term, I hope to improve upon my existing skills through both certification education and job experience by moving up the ladder into higher-ranking positions such as penetration tester and/or security engineer. Ultimately, I want to work with others in order to build secure systems for all types of organizations and assist them in developing an effective security strategy to adapt to the constantly changing cyber-attack threat landscape.
