Hello! Hopefully you are able to see this, but welcome to my Cell Biology E-Portfolio. Below is a collection of my works created within my BIOL 293 class in the spring semester of 2023. Enjoy!

In this meme from the critically acclaimed movie, “The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent.” I see myself as Pedro Pascal, the man on the right smiling, while my exams and the smart biology assignments are shown as Nicholas Cage, the man on the left confused. Essentially I chose this meme to articulate that I am learning so much in this class hence the happiness and joy, but when quizzed and tested on the material my grades do not reflect and are typically not the best looking on in concern. I find this class extremely interesting just very in depth which ends up being my downfall. No matter how much I study the different PF’s, IF’s, and RF’s will always get jumbled up in my head. I understand the material and can appreciate it, just cannot regurgitate the knowledge.

Final Reflection

Over the course of this class I did learn a lot, but what stuck out to me the most is something I hadn’t really processed fully before. My classmates have lots of good and thought provoking questions and answers that help me seek more knowledge. I know this doesn’t have to do with how cells grow, reproduce, divide, etc. but when doing ‘Packback’ each week I felt like I was learning so much information. In a typical class it is rare people raise their hand to ask anything, so the conversations don’t progress or get interesting. When doing the new type of discussion board though I actually felt like our class was growing and learning together, a very cool and new feeling!
