Module 11 Case Study

This week, we were given a sample of a data breach announcement that was “sent” to customers of the affected website. Two different Economic Theories that goes into this sample are the discussion of Liability, as well as leading the website and the provider to review their standards and certifications. The other part of the journal is the two different Social Science theories that go into this sample breach letter. The first of which is Economics itself, which is a branch of sociology. This is the study of society and how the impacts of businesses being attacked affects the society. The second being Psychology, which is demonstrated when the business gets involved with the investigation on why their business was targeted and what they can do to prevent the future attacks, as well as making their information more secure to deter these attacks.
