I recently received the message below.
We hope you share this opportunity with your students or encourage a student to apply. The Eastern Virginia Regional Office of U.S. Senator Tim Kaine is seeking interns for the Fall/Winter term. This experience will allow the opportunity to witness the daily functioning of a Senate Regional Office and gain valuable experience in the field of government. The office is located in Virginia Beach.
Interns should be motivated and interested in government and public service. They will perform various administrative tasks such as greeting guests, checking the mail, answering constituent phone calls, and drafting correspondence in addition to various special projects within the district.
Full-time and part-time internships are available. The fall/winter and winter/spring sessions are open to students at any point in their college careers and rising college seniors are preferred for the summer session.
Interested candidates should complete the application at

All of this information is included on the application site.
