Good afternoon,
My name is Corinne Lam.  I am the graduate assistant for the College of Arts and Letters withing CDS.  My role is the internship/co-op coordinator and in my role I assist students with anything related to internships, building and tailoring professional documents and other types of professional development.
In my position, I have revamped the internship workshop.  It is designed to expand on CDS as a resource to students at any point in the internship process, explain the steps to obtaining and completing an internship, and ways to enhance professional documents like resumes and cover letters and improve on interviewing skills.  It is highly encouraged that students attend this workshop to help alleviate any confusion and answer general questions related to the internship process.  With that being said, I would like to ask that you promote and share this information with your students.
An email about the events went out today to all AL students.  The link to access it is here: https://myemail.constantcontact.com/Looking-for-internship—This-is-for-you-.html?soid=1133737182506&aid=eKOFLqgtb8I.
The dates for the event are October 8th and 15th at 12:30-1:30.  These events are going to share the same presentation, so students do not need to attend both.  Students can register for the event in Careers4Monarchs and will need to register in zoom (the link is embedded in the description).  This will send students the zoom information directly.  The session will be recorded and will be sent to students following the event, as will the slides that are presented.
Here is a quick video to showcase the importance of internships and what they can help students to achieve:https://spark.adobe.com/video/SVHn6Cu0mKe3d.

I truly appreciate your time in reading this email.  Please forward this to anyone within Arts and Letters that could assist in spreading the word to students, faculty, internship coordinators, etc.  If you have any additional questions for me, do not hesitate to reach out to me or my direct supervisor, Alice Jones (aljones@odu.edu).
Have a wonderful day and rest of the week!

Corinne E. Lam
