I recently was sent the information below about an advocacy fellowship program.
If this seems like a good fit for your interests, consider applying. Keep in mind that it is possible to get a transcript notation for even low-hours micro-internships. Contact me for more information.

Who we are: REPRO Rising Virginia is the leading voice for protecting and expanding access to reproductive healthcare in the Commonwealth. We build political power to ensure every Virginian can make the reproductive decisions that are best for them, without stigma or political interference: including preventing unintended pregnancy, having healthy pregnancies, and accessing safe, legal abortion.
We’re investing in the next generation of leaders to rise on college campuses across the Commonwealth.
About the Fellowship: RRVA is offering an exclusive, yearlong fellowship opportunity to driven, passionate students ready to join the ranks of Virginia’s reproductive freedom champions. Our program develops next-generation leaders with the skills and support they need to make change on their campus and in Virginia. Our fellows tap into the knowledge and resources only those on the frontlines can bring—we work with guest speakers, activists, policy makers, and grassroots organizations to share their unique expertise. Students complete on-campus organizing activities to apply what they’ve learned, with the skills of each module building on the next. Topics covered in our modules include:
- Grassroots Organizing
- Messaging
- Elections and Campaigns
- Lobbying
- Coalition Building
- Careers in Advocacy
Our fellows also receive a stipend to compensate them for their work.
Eligibility: The Student Advocacy Fellowship is open to undergraduate students enrolled at a Virginia public or private university. Two fellowship positions are open at each university unless otherwise specified. Fellows commit to at least 8 hours of work outside of their trainings in the fall and spring semesters, and 4 hours over winter break.
Application Requirements: Applicants must submit an online application, resume, and unofficial transcript no later than June 15, 2023 for consideration in the 2023 – 2024 cohort. Students can also be nominated online.
