LAB 10 – Networking Basics

This lab is about the basics of subnetting for network segmentation. I learned how to convert binary to decimal and vice versa, identify the network address by performing a logical AND operation, and determine the broadcast address, first IP, last IP, and maximum number of hosts in a network.

One challenge I faced was converting decimal to binary and vice versa manually, since I wanted to challenge myself. I know this skill will benefit me in the long run, especially when I take certifications or in my future career. Overall, this lab helped me understand subnetting and how to perform it correctly.
